The patch bears the inscription "JANDARMERIA" in white letters.
The emblem’s base is made of a fabric composed of 65% cotton and 35% polyester, with a thermally reinforced backing for increased durability. The emblem can be applied to the Gendarmerie uniform sleeve by sewing, hook-and-loop (Velcro), or heat press.

If applied by sewing, the patch has a backing reinforcement to protect the stitches.

If applied with hook-and-loop, the soft side of the Velcro is included and can be sewn onto clothing later.
