         Original political badge from the post-war period, issued in 1954 in the German Democratic Republic (GDR / East Germany) to commemorate the People's Chamber (Volkskammer) elections. The badge was produced for the National Front election campaign and is an authentic collectible from the early years of the Cold War.

Made of metal with a bronze-coloured finish and blue and black enamel details, the badge features a stylized flag bearing the German inscription:

"Alles für den Sieg der Nationalen Front bei den Volkswahlen 1954"

Translation:

"Everything for the victory of the National Front in the 1954 People's Elections."

The design also includes a central medallion with a raised portrait and a decorative wreath of oak and laurel leaves.

The reverse is fitted with its original safety pin fastening.
