Original five-pointed red star badge made of enameled metal and manufactured by IKOM Zagreb, one of the well-known producers of badges and decorations in former Yugoslavia.
The red star was one of the most important symbols of the socialist and communist movements in Eastern Europe, appearing on military uniforms, badges, and emblems of state institutions and youth organizations. In Yugoslavia, it became one of the defining symbols of the socialist period following the Second World War.
The badge is fitted with its original screw-back fastening.
