Original Romanian military backpack made of thick olive drab cotton canvas, with genuine leather straps and a leather closure strap. It has a capacity of approx. 30 litres and is in like new condition, with storage marks.
About the model
This type of backpack was the standard issue backpack for Romanian infantry before the era of MOLLE gear and digital camouflage: a canvas tent-cloth sack with a flap over the drawstring-closed opening, secured with a leather strap and buckle. It entered service in the 1960s-70s and remained in use for decades, being simple, cheap to produce and nearly indestructible. It was made at Romanian military equipment factories, from thick-woven cotton canvas, with leather straps stitched and riveted in place.
